Maximising Views with Elevated Pool Design
In this Noosa Heads residence, the client’s desire to enjoy the spectacular views of the Noosa Hinterland led to the innovative design of a raised concrete pool.
Elevated 1.2 meters above the ground, this design choice enhances the view and cleverly reduces the need for extensive pool fencing, maintaining an unobstructed panorama.
Creating a Spacious Entertaining Deck
We constructed a large hardwood deck adjacent to the elevated pool, complete with integrated seating and a high bar area.
This setup is ideal for hosting gatherings, allowing guests to soak in the hinterland vistas while enjoying the pool.
The deck is a central hub for entertainment and relaxation, designed to accommodate large groups comfortably.
Tropical Privacy and Low Maintenance Landscaping
Surrounding the pool area, our landscaping team crafted a tropical oasis offering privacy and beauty.
Using a variety of colourful, low-maintenance plants, the garden beds provide a lush, private enclosure for the pool and enhance the property’s tropical aesthetic.
Strategic plant placement ensures ongoing privacy without the need for regular upkeep.
Addressing the Slope with Terraced Stone Work
The property’s challenging steep slope was managed by constructing terraced walls out of granite.
This helped retain the slope and allowed for the creation of varied garden beds of various shapes and sizes, integrating them seamlessly into the landscape design.
These terraces add structural beauty and functional gardening spaces across different levels of the property.
Camouflaging the Driveway
Integrating a second driveway was a key design aspect, as it needed to be practical without detracting from the home’s aesthetic appeal.
By orientating the pool and using large garden beds filled with dense foliage, we effectively camouflaged the driveway from the main view, ensuring it blends seamlessly into the landscape.
